Fridays for Future, #metoo, alle politischen Parteien genauso wie Gewerkschaften machen es: Ihre politischen Anliegen über digitale Medien (Facebook, TikTok oder X/ehemals Twitter oder Instagramm) öffentlich zu kommunizieren. Für die Wahlwerbung zur Europawahl im Juni und für Landtags- und Bundestagswahlen sind sie von grundlegender Bedeutung, um insbesondere junge Wähler zu mobilisieren. Tageszeitungen, aber auch die klassischen öffentlich-rechtlichen Medien haben hier starke Konkurrenz bekommen bei der öffentlichen Meinungsbildung. Doch was sind die Wirkungen von politischen Kampagnen in sozialen Medien? Wie funktionieren diese und wie sind sie aufgebaut? Wie können digitale Medien auch für Beteiligung und Demokratie begeistern? Diese und weitere Fragen wird uns Dr. Jörg Haßler von der Ludwigs-Maximilians-Universität München im Rahmen seines Online-Vortrages beantworten. Herr Haßler berichtet aus seinem aktuellen Forschungsprojekt Projekt DigiDeMo, das vom bayerischen Wissenschaftsministerium gefördert und vom Bayerischen Forschungsinstitut für Digitale Transformation (bidt) koordiniert wird.
