Spätestens seit der Hochwasserkatastrophe diesen Sommer kennt jeder die dunkelblauen Autos des THW. Sie stehen in Not- und Unglücksfällen der Bevölkerung mit Technik und Know-how in und außerhalb von Deutschland helfend zur Seite: Von Beleuchtung, über Brückenbau, Elektroversorgung, Ölschadenbekämpfung, Räumen und Bergen bis zu Sprengungen und Sicherstellung der Trinkwasserversorgung. Mehr als 85.000 Ehrenamtliche in knapp 670 Ortsverbänden engagieren sich beim THW. Auch bei uns in Neuburg gibt es eine aktive Gruppe, die wir besuchen wollen. Frank Pfeffer, Ortsbeauftragter des THW Neuburg, zeigt uns was die Ortsgruppe Neuburg macht, in welchen Strukturen sie arbeitet und welche Ausstattung sie zur Verfügung hat.
