Schädlinge (Insekten, Nagetiere) verursachen große wirtschaftliche Schäden. Etwa indem sie Produktionsprozesse stören (Kabelschäden), oder noch viel gravierender: Sie bedrohen Gesundheits-, und Hygienestandards etwa in Gaststätten, bei Bäckereien oder in Lebensmittel produzierenden Betrieben. Die Beobachtung dieser natürlichen Gefahr ist eine immense Herausforderung. Am Beispiel eines traditionellen, über 100 Jahre alten Anbieters für Schädlingsbekämpfung, stellt unser Referent dar, welche Chancen sich durch die Digitalisierung der Schädlingsbeobachtung ergeben und wie es konkret vor Ort im Betrieb funktionieren kann. Die Entwicklung KI-basierter Schädlingsmonitore bedeutet einen Quantensprung für die gesamte Branche der Schädlingsbekämpfung.
