Membership fees & SEPA Direct Debit

SUEPO annual membership fees are free in the first calendar year within the first 3 years of employment.

Otherwise, the annual membership fee is 2.7% of one monthly basic salary of the first step in your grade, and 58€ for Young Professionals and Pensioners. You will find a table with the current membership fees here. Fees are charged once a year (usually mid-year) by direct debit, after advance notice.

SEPA Mandate Confirmation

By submitting this mandate form, you authorise (A) SUEPO, to send instructions to your bank to debit your account for payment of your SUEPO membership fee annually and (B) your bank to debit your account in accordance with the instructions from SUEPO.

This mandate is revocable by sending a written notice to thehague-membership (at) suepo.org.

Terms and Conditions

SUEPO primarily funds legal cases of general importance to the whole community of members, after due consideration by the committee (see article F.21.1 of the SUEPO TH statutes). SUEPO also offers individual advice. If an individual case needs professional legal advice, our lawyers will enter into an agreement with the individual client, at his/her expense, barring exceptional circumstances.

Declaration of Consent

I agree that my data will be deposited, processed and used by the "Staff Union of the European Patent Office" for the purpose of fulfilling the contract within the scope of membership.

I have been informed that the personal data collected within the scope of the above-mentioned purposes will be collected, processed, used and transmitted in compliance with the EU Basic Data Protection Regulation. I have been informed of my rights as a data subject.

The declaration of consent is made on a voluntary basis. I have been informed that I can revoke the declaration of consent at any time by written notification for the future.
