Ablauf:
Theoriekurs mit praktischem Teil (Gasanalyse) und abschließender theoretischer Prüfung. Die Prüfung kann am selben Abend erfolgen, ggf. etwas mehr Zeit einplanen.
Mitzubringen: Schreibsachen, Taschenrechner, Verpflegung.
Das VDST Nitrox Manual kann für 10€ vor Ort erworben werden.

Voraussetzungen
DTSA*; ersatzweise genügt eine vergleichbare Qualifikation entsprechend der VDST-Äquivalenzliste.

Kursziel:
Der Bewerber soll in der Theorie mit der sicheren Planung, Vorbereitung und Durchführung von Nitroxtauchgängen mit Gasgemischen, welche ausschließlich aus Stickstoff und Sauerstoff mit einem Sauerstoffanteil von maximal 40% bestehen, vertraut gemacht werden.
Nach Abschluss des Kurses soll er
• die besonderen Probleme und Gefahren bei Nitroxtauchgängen beherrschen können,
• die richtige Ausrüstung für Nitroxtauchgänge zusammenstellen und beherrschen können,
• sichere Tauchgänge innerhalb der oben genannten Grenzen durchführen können,
• die Vorsichtsregeln kennen, die Voraussetzung zum sicheren Umgang mit Nitrox und Sauerstoff
sind.

• Sauerstoffproblematik
• Physiologische Folgen
• CNS- und MOD-Berechnungen für die Praxis
• Stickstoffproblematik
• Nitrox-Tabellen und -tauchcomputer
• Ausrüstung
• Gesetzliche Grundlagen
• Gasanalyse und Kennzeichnung der Nitroxflasche mit praktischen Übungen
• Notfallmanagement
• Nitroxgemisch analysieren im Vier-Augen-Prinzip

Prüfungsinhalte:
Beantwortung eines vom Ausbilder vorgelegten VDST-Fragebogens zu den vermittelten Lehrinhalten.
